Bonnie Sorak, Senior Outreach Coordinator for the Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake (IPC) implored attendees to accept responsibility as people living/working/worshiping in this area, to reduce stormwater runoff from our properties so we can reduce our negative impact on the Loch Raven Reservoir. Bonnie introduced several methods such as rain gardens and conservation landscaping, and showed cool examples of pervious driveways that have replaced concrete/asphalt driveways, allowing the storm water to "slow down, spread out and soak in" close to where it meets Mother Earth the first time.
