Good Friday Online Service at 7pm

Faith Lutheran and Salem Lutheran Good Friday Service 2021. On Good Friday we hear Christ's Passion story from the Gospel of John. Accompanying the candles, readings, and prayers is music by J.S. Bach, Chris Tomlin, Albert Hay Malotte, and others.

Congregational Meeting on October 19th for a Vote on the Call of a New Pastor

In Habakkuk, we join the writer in asking, "How long?" We recognize the world does not existing as God intended. We wait on his help to fix injustice and save us from violence. Come to worship to praise God who promises his intervention as we look for him to come back soon.

Call Committee Update and a Blessing of the Animals Service Next Week

In our gospel lesson we are challenged with the contrasting lives of an unnamed rich man and a poor man named Lazarus. The parable Jesus tells is a foreshadowing. Jesus predicts that even someone rising from the dead wouldn't convince some people to change their ways. We come to worship reminded of Jesus' compassion to go ahead and raise a real man named Lazarus from the dead just like in his parable, even knowing that it wouldn't change hearts and minds. We thank Jesus for his willingness to still try to reach out to those rich in this life but missing true riches for the next.
