The gospel lesson this Sunday focuses on the meal with the risen Christ. He eats with them as a means to show he is alive. Yet in that meal, he does more. He opens the disciples' minds to understand the scriptures and why Jesus died. Come to the service of worship to partake in a meal in communion with Christ and be open to all he shares with you.

This Sunday we come to a gospel story about Thomas asking to see that Jesus is alive by his wounds. Even after he heard from others about their meeting with Jesus, we are encouraged that God met his need to have a personal encounter too.
