This week, as we continue to hear Jesus teach us about the Bread of Life, we also hear in our first reading about the prophet Elijah. Even the greatest prophets of old needed sustenance for their journey. So too we need the sustenance of the Bread of Life, spiritual sustenance, for the work of discipleship.
